When you wish upon a star…

We just returned from a trip to DisneyWorld. It was an amazing whirlwind of a trip. It began with surprising the kids. We struggled for months to keep this trip a secret so that they would always have that special memory. We pulled it off and they were stunned into silence! No screams or whoops or huge smiles. Just confusion. Until we asked them to load into the car and head to the airport. At the airport awaited our second surprise. We were meeting up with friends. The couple and their children were traveling with us!

All in all we had a perfect trip. We visited Magic Kingdom twice, Epcot, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Coco Beach. We even through in a day of swimming at the pool, shopping and golf.

We could not have asked for a more magical moment in time. The weather was gorgeous, the kids at perfect ages, the friendship blossomed.

Dreams really do come true.

I See The Moon

At first it was going to be a family affair. When we learned about the rare lunar eclipse on the winter solstice last night we were all going to watch. Then we learned it would take 2 hours to complete. At that point I said to myself I would just stay in bed. Then circumstances allowed me to be awake at the start of the eclipse, so I grabbed my blanket and camera, and shared 30 minutes of the eclipse with our kitty, Moose. I am glad I did. It was an amazing sight. I only watched for half an hour, but it was very special.

Even though my years are gaining on me, I still feel young. Perhaps I will be 17 forever? If only in my mind…

Yikes… It’s my birthday!

And, Happy Birthday to my beloved Blake. He is 3 years old today!

And finally, my heart, Miss Rae, turned 7 this weekend. Happy Birthday to my baby!
