Damn…

Over the past few months I have heard rumblings of this topic I will be discussing, but due to my ignorance of the subject I pushed it aside, until now. I learned of the different types of societies in college, but only one applied to me, Democracy, because I am American.

It has been discovered that Barack Obama was a member of an organization called “The New Party” in the 90’s. This “New Party” was based on the theories of Socialism, with the hopes that one of their members could get elected to a high office. Apparently, the Supreme Court denounced this “New Party” after finding it unconstitutional. My sources: #1, #2, #3, #4.

I had to go to Dictionary.com to learn the definition of socialism:
1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
2.procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.
3.(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

WOW – In Marxist Theory, Socialism is the transition to Communism. I will say it again, in Marxist Theory, Socialism is the TRANSITION to COMMUNISM.

THE Man who is likely to be VOTED into US Presidential office has major Socialist tendencies. I noticed this first when learning about his health plan. It reeks of socialism.

Now, let me tell you. I have a health insurance broker who works for me in helping me choose health plans to provide my employees. She is a very well respected woman in the community, and has even been in an elected position in her local government. She is from Canada. Her mother stills lives in Canada. They currently use a socialist health care plan. At first glance it looks appealing. But the devil appears when you are very sick and need dire help. Her mother needed a very important heart surgery. Because there is no “triage”-type system, her mother was placed on the year long wait list. She nearly DIED waiting for her surgery. They have friends and family who need serious procedures NOW, but have DIED waiting, because the person in front of them in line needed a tooth pulled, or a hair transplant, or gastric bypass.

The way Canada pays for this health plan is taxing the citizen through property tax. On the average, I was told by this former citizen, they each home pays upwards of $12000 a YEAR in property tax. It is based on household income. Again, I was told by this former citizen, that there is an underground network where citizens pay each other in cash for goods and services, so that the receiver does not need to report the income, so that they won’t have a larger tax bill, to pay for this NEAT health plan.

Is this really what a probable majority of voters want for this country? Higher taxes, to pay for a socialist health plan (and more), and alienate the employers who give them a paycheck (that if taxes go up for small business, then you may get laid off, have no money to pay higher taxes for this NEAT health plan)?

Now don’t get me started on the Bailout put into place by our elected officials in Washington. This too reeks of socialism.

Quite honestly, I have always had a democratic nature. I voted for Bill Clinton and John Kerry. But now that I own a business, pay ENORMOUS taxes already, and have a family and employees to look out for, I cannot vote Democratic (or “New Party” Socialist) this time around.
